Erica Andreozzi
Department of Biomedical Engineering
Erica Andreozzi received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She received her Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering with a designated emphasis in Biotechnology (DEB). Her doctoral research focuses on the development of multimodal imaging probes to examine the neuroinflammatory process associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) using Positron emission tomography (PET), Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and optical microscopy. By imaging activated immune cells in the brain of an AD mouse model, this technique could show the progression of immune-cell dependent neurological associated with this disease, and possibly provide a basis for development of improved treatments for AD.
Erica is now a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at King’s College in London.
