Tang Tang

Tang Tang

Department of Chemistry

Tang received her B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China and is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry, with a designated emphasis in biotechnology (DEB). Her current PhD project is focusing on development of iron oxide based multimodal probes to image vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques with Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). By visualizing the vulnerable plaques in vivo and provide information on plaque stability, this noninvasive method holds the potential to be a valuable guide for patient management in atherosclerosis. Tang is an adventurer of sorts; if she’s not in the lab, you can find her hiking mountains, skiing, and exploring different states.
