Angelique Y. Louie (Angie) received the B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis, and the M.S. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, both in electrical engineering. She received the Ph.D. degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine (Beckman Laser Institute). She held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena. She is currently an Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of California, Davis.
Dr. Louie is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Society for Molecular Imaging. She is an elected member of Board of Directors for the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Enginering (AIMBE), and faculty advisor for the UCD SWE chapter.
She has a great many four-legged friends at home and is outdoors whenever possible.
