The W.M. Keck Foundation’s Medical Research Program recently awarded a $1 million grant to Dr. Louie, which will be used to fund a collaborative project with Yohei Yokobashi, associate professor in BME, and Jared Shaw, associate Professor in Chemistry. Their project, “In Vivo 3D Imaging Using Bioluminescent Gene Reporters and MRI,” aims to improve the detection of gene expression in deep, opaque tissues through noninvasive imaging and biomedical applications.
