Rohan Kapre selected for a MRM Highlight and has graduated with double MS in Biomedical Engineering and Biostatistics!

MRM Highlights Pick interviews Rohan Kapre and Angelique Louie to discuss their paper entitled “A novel gamma GLM approach to MRI relaxometry comparisons“. In their paper, they proposed a gamma generalized linear model with identity link (GGLM-ID) framework for analyzing MRI relaxometry data and compared it with other models, like ordinary least squares (OLS), showing it to perform better, in terms of precision and accuracy, in relaxivity determination.

Dr. Louie awarded a $1 million grant from the W.M. Keck Foundation

Dr. Louie

The W.M. Keck Foundation’s Medical Research Program recently awarded a $1 million grant to Dr. Louie, which will be used to fund a collaborative project with Yohei Yokobashi, associate professor in BME, and Jared Shaw, associate Professor in Chemistry. Their project, “In Vivo 3D Imaging Using Bioluminescent Gene Reporters and MRI,” aims to improve the detection of gene expression in deep, opaque tissues through noninvasive imaging and biomedical applications. Congratulations!
